LA Kings Fire Marc Crawford after 2 Horrendous Seasons

The Los Angeles Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi has apparently given up on Marc Crawford. The LA Kings fired Marc Crawford Tuesday afternoon after just his 2nd season with the Kings. Both seasons were brutal for King’s fans to watch with the team’s pathetic record, 59-84-21. Marc Crawford still had one season left on his contract and it was thought that Lombardi would give Crawford at least one more year to see how the young team would progress.

Now that Crawford has been fired, the hockey rumors will begin for who the next King’s coach will be. In fact, many king’s fans are speculating that Lombardi fired Crawford because there is another coach available that fits Lombardi’s plans. Early speculation is that the King’s are interested in John Tortarella. Tortarella was recently fired from the Lightning, but does have a Stanley Cup under his belt.
