United State’s 2008 World Hockey Championships Roster Released -Updated April 23

The 2008 World Hockey Championships will be taking place this year in the host country of Canada in the summer of 2008 in the cities of Halifax and Quebec City. This year’s United States roster for the World Hockey Championships is composed of a very young but talented group of players, with the average age of the US roster at under 24 years of age.

The United States World Hockey Championship roster was picked by Brian Burke, David Poile, Ray Shero, and Don Waddell and will be coached by John Tortorella. The roster for the US is headlined by Patrick Kane, who is the youngest player on the team and the oldest player on the team is Jeff Halpern at 31 years old. There are only 17 players currently on the roster and more will be added before the May 2nd start date.
