Chris Osgood was re-signed to a 3 year contract extension with the Detroit Red Wings today.  Osgood has the best goals against average of any goalie so far this year, posting a 19-2-1 record, with a 1.68 g.a.a. and a .932 save %.

Osgood wants to finish to finish his career in Detroit, even if that means splitting time with future Hall of Famer, Domink Hasek, who also plans on finishing his career in HockeyTown.  Osgood may very well be named to the All Star team now that Roberto Luongo has decided to miss the game to be with his wife who is giving birth to their child around the All Star Break.
